The Stock Ticker, powered by globeinvestor.com, features a convenient way to monitor the price activity of up to 30 stocks and indexes throughout the trading day.

The ticker’s top line can be customized. Stock symbols can be added or removed and a slider control can be used to modify the ticker’s scrolling speed. Click any stock or index symbol to view a detailed stock quote.

The second line of the ticker features price activity for several North American indexes such as the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P/TSX Composite.

Quotes on the ticker are delayed at least 15 minutes.

HOW TO ADD STOCK SYMBOLS

1. Click EDIT TICKER.
2. You may enter up to 30 valid stock symbols with exchange codes, separated by commas or spaces.
3. Click UPDATE LIST. The Stock Ticker will re-load with the revised list of stock symbols.
4. To remove symbols from your list, delete the symbol and click UPDATE LIST.

STOCK SYMBOLS

Exchange codes:
T-Toronto, M-Montreal, X-TSX Venture, N-New York, A-American, Q-NASDAQ, Q2-OTCBB, I-Index
Valid Stock symbols are composed of the ticker symbol and an exchange code (e.g., BCE-T, IBM-N, MSFT-Q, DJIA-I, TTT-I).

If you don't know a symbol, click EDIT TICKER, then click SYMBOL LOOKUP. Enter a company name to find the symbol. Then click the symbol to add it to your list. If you close the Stock Ticker and restart it later, the same set of symbols will be automatically loaded for you.

Quotes from most exchanges are delayed 15 minutes, except for stocks traded on the NYSE and Amex, which are delayed 20 minutes.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

The Stock Ticker is a Java-based streaming quote application. System requirements for the ticker may differ from the rest of the website.

Supported Platforms: Windows 98 and higher (including NT 4.0, ME, 2000, XP, Vista and higher).
Mac (OS X) operating systems are not supported.

Supported Browsers: Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher. The Stock Ticker will not function on Firefox, Netscape or Opera web browsers.

Required: JavaScript, Java and cookies must be enabled in your web browser. You may need to install Sun Java 6.0 or higher to view the ticker
